I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, its well known that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the GPL liberal license make the wordpress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, of course this is not a new idea, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, remember real value is always difficult to achieve. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, look at this one, Cable Puller and Come Along, it has a nice name, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, since this is not a themed blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. One more example, Popular Truck Tie Downs, this one has main theme, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. there are more sites like these out there, but I think you understand the basics now. Last but not least, you should build some casual blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, such as this blog, E Track Tie Down Straps, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. Of course its just the beginning, the real stuff will be more complicated, there’s one thing you do have to remember is that don’t ruin your hard work just because you want to cut a few corners.
